Experience
People seek counselling for many different reasons. Some don’t know what it is they need to talk about until they start talking and others think they want to talk about one issue and end up talking about something completely different. The following are some of the areas I have explored with previous clients –
Bereavement & Loss
Drug & Alcohol Addiction
Body Image
Disordered Eating
Anxiety
Family & Relationship Problems
OCD
Low Self Esteem / Confidence
Negative Thought Patterns
Sexuality
Depression
Stress
Anger Management
Performance Anxiety
Abuse / Trauma / PTSD
About Me
I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working within the BACPs Ethical Framework. I use Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches as well as elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and holistic approaches.
So what does this actually mean?
As an Integrative Counsellor, I use elements of various different theories to form a unique approach to therapy. The way I work with each client depends on the issues presented and the number of sessions we have, but above all, it depends on what works best for you. My aim is to help you feel safe and secure enough to explore and the way we work together will evolve from this exploration.
If you would like to know more or to enquire about an initial meeting please feel free to contact me - I look forward to hearing from you.
I can offer online counselling wherever you are based, and face to face counselling in Brighton.
